Second Empire Double IPA packs a Hop Punch without the expected bitterness. A unique blend of Citra, Amarillo, Apollo, and Cascade hops
Much like Spadra's cryptic name, our Second Empire Double IPA has a name associated with a creepy history. The name Second Empire comes from the Architectural design style of the same name. Second Empire structures are almost always associated with Haunted Houses. Our Second Empire DIPA is named for the Philips Mansion, located in Pomona, CA. The mansion is one of only two such style homes located in Southern California. The other is located just down the 57 freeway at a magical theme park in Anaheim, CA.
Many ghost hunters believe the Philips Mansion to be haunted. Ghost enthusiasts from all over the U.S. have surmised theories of the spirits that supposedly haunt the rooms and hallways of this old house.
